Jimmi stopped by the WIRED Cafe booth while at Comic Con for the Psych: The Movie panel. He talked about Westworld, how comic con is going for him, answered some questions from WIRED as well as from some fans, and talked about books he likes as well as films and space. He recommended two books. The first; Robots of Dawn by Isaac Asimov and the second; The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King. In the interview, he also mentioned that there’s a couple of projects he has been working on that he can’t talk about yet. Which is great and exciting news! You can view the video below and I have added screen captures from it to our photo archive. I have also updated our photo archive with high quality images from the booth’s carpet/etc. The video has also been archived into our video section.

USA is officially on the case of the unsolved murders of rap legends Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G.

The network is getting in the anthology series business by picking up the Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. Expected to premiere in early 2018, the true crime drama will go inside the dual investigations into the slayings of the friends-turned-rivals, who were murdered only months apart.

Newcomer Wavvy Jonez will portray Christopher Wallace a.k.a. Biggie, while Marcc Rose will once again don the bandana as Tupac. The actor proved to be a spitting image of the rapper when he had a small cameo as him in Straight Outta Compton. Also playing familiar names are Luke James as Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs and Aisha Hinds (Underground) as Biggie’s mother Voletta.

Transformers alum Josh Duhamel stars as LAPD Detective Greg Kading, whose book Murder Rap: The Untold Story of the Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations the series is loosely based on. Jimmi Simpson (Westworld), Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), Brent Sexton (The Killing), and Jamie McShane (Bloodline) round out the cast as police officers involved in the two investigations.

Emmy-winner Anthony Hemingway (The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story) directed the pilot and will serve as an executive producer alongside Kading, Mark Taylor, and Kyle Long, who created the series. Source

Jimmi has been cast as Detective Russell Poole in USA’s upcoming Tupac Drama ‘Unsolved’. You can read the full article below or at the original source, here. The article also states how Jimmi as well as Josh and Bokeem have all received multiple offers for broadcast dramas this pilot season. This article has been added to our press archive as a means of arching press articles pertaining to Jimmi and his projects, to view it over in our press archive – you can click here.

The trio were also receiving offers from broadcast networks this pilot season.

USA Network has landed three in-demand leading men for its Tupac murder drama pilot Unsolved.

Set to star in the drama pilot are Josh Duhamel (11.22.63), Westworld breakout Jimmi Simpson and Fargo favorite Bokeem Woodbine, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. All three actors had been receiving multiple offers for broadcast dramas this pilot season.

Unsolved is a true crime serialized drama that chronicles the two major police investigations into the slayings of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. The drama hails from People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story Emmy winner Anthony Hemmingway.

Duhamel will star as Detective Greg Kading. In 2006, Kading was asked to help spearhead a multi-agency task force with the purpose of finding out who was responsible for Christopher Wallace’s (aka Biggie Smalls) slaying. The casting marks Duhamel’s return to television following Hulu’s 11.22.63, CBS’ Battle Creek and NBC’s Las Vegas. His feature credits also include Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Safe Haven and New Year’s Eve.

Simpson will portray Detective Russell Poole. In 1997, Poole investigated the slaying of Biggie Smalls and became convinced that the LAPD was covering something up. His findings eventually led Voletta Wallace to file a lawsuit against the department. Simpson’s credits include Westworld, Hap and Leonard, The Newsroom and Psych.

Woodbine, meanwhile, is set to play Officer Daryn Dupree. In 2006, Dupree became a key member of the task force — one with a deep knowledge of L.A. gangs and the rap industry. Woodbine’s credits include his Emmy-nominated role in Fargo as well as features Ray, Life and Riddick. He’ll next be seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

From Universal Cable Productions, Unsolved will be directed by Hemmingway, who exec produces alongside Mark Taylor through their Hemingway | Taylor production company. Kyle Long (Suits) will pen the script and exec produce. The drama is based on the experiences of former LAPD Detective Greg Kading, who is consulting on the pilot script and will also serve as co-executive producer. Kading led multiple law-enforcement task forces investigating the murders and authored the book Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations.

Duhamel is repped by ICM Partners, John Carrabino Management and Viewpoint. Simpson is repped by WME and Industry Entertainment. Woodbine is repped by Gersh and Jackoway Tyerman.
